The OHAAP induction ceremony was a vibrant celebration of positivity, growth, and the exciting possibilities ahead for our industry. It was an inspiring moment to reinforce our commitment to creating meaningful partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and trade associations to strengthen our collective efforts.
This term, our elected board has prioritized education as a core focus. We believe that continuous learning and upskilling are key to staying ahead in our rapidly evolving media landscape.
Our keynote speaker and inducting officer was none other than Secretary Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez, Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Secretary Kiko emphasized the importance of education and skill development in response to the latest technological innovations, including the rise of out-of-home media in today’s media environment. He assured us that TESDA is ready to support OOH industry members through specialized courses and training programs offered by TESDA.
The event also marked the official swearing-in of our officers and board of directors, led by Secretary Benitez.
Our new board members are energized and eager to explore the exciting opportunities on the horizon. This includes actively engaging members by inviting them to join various committees and participate in upcoming activities. As highlighted during the event, technology—particularly the proliferation of digital billboards—presents great opportunities for dialogue and collaboration.
In line with this, OHAAP will prioritize building strong relationships with digital billboard owners and industry stakeholders. We are also expanding our educational initiatives by partnering with TESDA to offer scholarships and upskilling programs, ensuring our members stay at the forefront of industry developments.
Additionally, we plan to refresh and enhance our digital assets to keep our communications vibrant and relevant. There is also a renewed focus on learning and development that will continue through a series of knowledge-sharing sessions on pertinent topics designed to benefit our membership through the general membership meetings.
Overall, this induction ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter—building on our past achievements while continuously seeking growth and improvement. With a spirit of cooperation and commitment, the OHAAP board is excited to move forward toward a vibrant future that’s bigger than life.
