Relative to the issued Executive Order No. 165, Prescribing Regulations on Out-of-Home Advertising Signs and Billboards, signed by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on 21 March 2022, OHAAP Chairman Ramil Gutierrez and President Daryl Abueva attended the Meeting yesterday, January 18, Wednesday, 9:00AM at the Conference Room of DPWH Region IV-B to discuss the submitted comments, suggestions and recommendations. Fortunately, discussions are still on-going and OHAAP still has the chance to incorporate provisions favorable to the general membership.
The meeting was also attended by Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, Atty. Johnson Domingo, Atty. Talion, Engr. Agustin Torres, CAAP Representative and Regional Directors in NCR, Regions III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VII and VIII.
And while having a meeting yesterday at the DPWH, the rest of the OHAAP Board of Directors were discussing the simplified version of the IRR for submission to the DPWH once approved and ratified.
Members will be given a soft copy of the simplified version of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Executive Order No. 165 for their review and comments. A Special General Membership Meeting via online will be scheduled soon once comments and inputs have been received and collated.
Let us keep on praying and hoping that the final Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Executive Order No. 165 will be favorable both to the OOH industry and the government.
